Heron Rabbit Deer
These three animals came to me on a New Moon in Cancer, in mid-July, bringing a message of hope and renewal. In Celtic mythology, all three of these animals are guides to the Otherworld. If we follow them, we will cross over into the Land of Faery. According to Marija Gimbutas, Deer is the Birth-Giving Goddess, Heron the Life-Sustaining Goddess, and Hare the Goddess Regeneratrix, in the symoblic language of Old Europe.
