Elemental Mandala
Animals and plants of the four directions spiral around the Sacred Center. Great Horned Owl and Trillium (first wildflower of Spring in the Northwest) hold the energy of the East. The trickster Coyote and sunny St John’s Wort live in the South. Leaping Salmon and Kelp are gifts of the Waters of the West. Black Bear sits in the North, along with the sacred Cedar.
