Earth
A woman luxuriates in the erotic sensuality of earth and sea.
This piece is based on a photograph of me taken by my friend, photographer extraordinaire Lori DeMarre, in 1992. I did a pen & ink drawing of it back then and more recently did a new version in colored pencil for the “Coming Home” issue of SageWoman. It seemed appropriate to me to depict the background as my home — the islands as seen from Mt. Constitution on Orcas Island, with Bellingham Bay and Komo Kulshan (Mt Baker) and the Three Sisters in the distance.
